Looking around the pre-alpha forum I can see we have a good portion of talented artists, all waiting to play Wunderkin. I've no doubt many have already been tempted by the idea of doing some fanart of the wonderful dragons we have already seen. I was wandering on Wunderkin's policy of using their artwork. Does fanart have to be 100% your own work (my usual method), or will members be allowed to use official Wunderkin images incorporated into their fanart? What sort of credit off site would be required, I'm assuming (C) to Wunderkin and GaiasAngel? Sorry for all the questions, but since not all members will have access to the alpha forum (where I assume the rules might be found), and I've no doubt more Wunderkin images will be starting to circulate as soon as the alpha stage starts, and therefore tempt more people into making fanart, I feel this would be best made clear for all.

Fanart has to be 100% your own work with a (C) to Wunderkin if it's posted off-site (deviantArt, or for example), but if you make tags or other images for players to use in-site, you can use any of the Wunderkin images with no (C) necessary.

I probably shouldn't, but the bean counter in me can't resist. I'm sorry Daeros, but the law does not support your statement. As I am just a common law counselor, I can not correct you here, but I recommend a little more education on copyright law and what your (c) actually covers.

Where does the law not support this statement?
The (C) Wunderkin on derivative works (fanart) is not meant to cover copyrights on that specific piece, but to show the original work does not belong to them ("Original concept/work/design (C) Wunderkin"). I can understand the previous post might have been misunderstood in that Wunderkin would automatically have copyrights over all pieces that are derivative works. We're not claiming that, it's just nice to have a notice that the work is derivative and where it comes from.
You are not allowed, and again from the law, to copy a piece (or any part of a piece) and make derivative works with that. You're similarly not allowed to use Wunderkin images to make derivative works and post them off-site. We allow usage of all images from the site freely inside the actual site.

do something liek draogonadopters, when you post a fanart that is an *recolor* you need to put some simbol on it, but if it's a simple fanart not, because it's a fanart.
but it's can be good if create a space in the board for the rules too,it can helps.(if the board will stay here forever..)
