Aerus kin with Splatter and Stripes markings: Everything's moving along pretty well, though the amount of work was vastly underestimated at the beginning. Next update, possibly in only a couple of days, we'll have actual site previews (including screenshots, not just site art). There's a new footer link on the site. It will take you to www.wunderkin.com/jobs.php - the Jobs page. If you are interested in applying or know someone who is, please direct them here! Some of the older competitions will be judged very soon, and their points tallied up. New ones will be posted, but they won't be open too long. If you want to participate in these new competitions, make sure you enter in the next few days.

...I was wondering when you were going to give us previews of markings, Daeros. <33 They are totally oh em gee worthy, especially with the somewhat transparent qualities of the mask thing and the detailed base shading under the markings. I am soooo impressed with the art that I've seen. I set my expectations low - my pessimistic philosophy, donchaknow, totally effective - but I know I would have been super impressed, even if I didn't have my weird mind games. And that's saying something. C; By the way, how many markings are there going to be released at first? I'm eager to see them all, but I suppose that's gonna have to wait. xD I am SO excited to see screenies. Actually, it's difficult for me to get excited for things like screenshots, as I already know how pet sites typically work and thus what will look like, but this site seems so unique. Gah. 8O I may apply for a mod position. xDD Worth a shot, eh? c: I'm glad that you're allowing open auditions for staff positions, as many sites tend to just choose their friends and etc. before it opens. It seems more fair this way. <3 -is smiling stupidly right now at the chance- I'm totally writhing in anticipation now. Bahaha. I can't wait to see the results - I've been having lots of fun reading/looking at the entries if I get bored and can't sleep or something. c: Lots of talented people here already, ne? -edits- WOW. I wrote a lot. Whatever, though, I totally thought words would escape me for this update, but I'm a babbler, I guess. I suppose I have to be to come back and edit this little part in, commenting on my love of commenting. o_____o;

Awesome. I absolutely love the markings.
I thought about applying for a moderator position, but decided against it. I've had that kind of experience before and have no desire to do it again.

I love the markings on that Aerus kin. I think stripes are likely to be my choice when it comes to the dragon markings on my dragons, although I bet there will be a lot to choose from It's a shame you're insisting on only photoshop users for the artist applications as I only use GIMP, yet I get a decent quality in my work and it can also work with PSD's. Mah, I'll put in an application and show you my work, let you decide if it's up to standard

Oh...WOW! Thanks, Daeros. It's nice when there's a bit of an update, and this kin is stunning! I have to say, I'm so impressed with the art work. Dont worry, Wayvern, i'm sure you can show off yours (and GIMPs) skills. Personally I can only do my best in Inkscape, but then I'm not that good an artist so I wont be applying anyhow. : ) I wish the best of luck to all the people who apply for the jobs too. : )

Thanks Seska. I've never used Inkscape. I find GIMP is a nice program to use and since it was free, and works with PSD's, I have stuck to it for all my artwork. But recently I have been wishing to try photobucket out and ordered myself a copy. I'm still waiting for my photoshop to arrive though, so haven't had chance to compare the features to GIMP.

wayvern: I prefer SVGs as they are easier to cope with (due to my lack of artistic skills!), and Inkscape is really user friendly. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't interact with my wacom very well. : ( I've heard photoshop is very good, but takes a while to get used....Then again, I can only seem to manage Inkscape (and Paintshoppro8 a little), and I only ever use GIMP to covert svgs! *o.o* I think I'm still a N00b when it comes to digital media! XD *need to learn to use GIMP and psp properly!* : )

I definitely applied and I do agree with Indecisive, a lot of sites do choose their friends before they open and this is a wonderful opportunity and more fair I do believe!
I sent my application in, if you did not get it for any reason what so ever I will resend it for you!
<3
Btw I love the splatter marking!

Nice to see some more news! Quite a pleasant surprise to see, after coming back from vacationing. ;] And I love the Splatter/Stripe markings on the Aerus; makes it look quite intimidating.
I think I might try applying. Not for an artist position though, I'm definitely not worthy enough for that. XD
And I'm very excited to see more contest and results. ^^
